Who is this for? In a nutshell, it’s for brides. (Sorry fellas, but let’s be honest, it’s her day).

The goal here is to give you as much information about documentary wedding photography as possible. Hopefully, it will convince you to worry less about staged photography on your wedding day.

The philosophy here is simple: Wouldn’t you rather have pictures in your wedding album of what you actually did on your wedding day, rather than photographs of what the photographer told you to do?

Altar Narrative is also about professionalism in documentary wedding photography. You’ll find information here about what you should look out for when making enquiries. We’ll cover everything from photographer’s insurance to best storage and back-up strategies.

Mostly, though, Altar Narrative is about the fun of documentary wedding photography and the terrific pictures that it can produce – pictures that will mean so much more to you in 25 years’ time than staged pictures ever will.
